Back to School shouldn’t be a pain in the back…
Choose schoolbag carefully so first day is not worst day
Thousands of Victorian children heading off to school for the first time could be at risk of injury from overstuffed schoolbags.
Poor packing of school bags, heavy loads of books and trends to sling bags over one shoulder all pose a significant risk to young spines, the Victorian President of the Chiropractors Association of Australia, Dr Anthony Coxon said.
“It’s really important not to weigh down kids with heavy backpacks as they head off to school,” Dr Coxon said.
